Once you have hypergamy ingrained in your head, you can't really undo seeing your place in a dominance hierarchy everywhere you go. This is especially true of social media.
I've yet to see any feminists share anything in this regard which doesn't just say "your problem, don't make it ours or we'll cancel you."
This isn't just a sex thing. Leftbook communities are, overall, alienating underneath in my experience, and don't actually deconstruct gender hierarchies or social hierarchies except within IdPol lines. A man is ALWAYS going to be beneath women in these circles, from my experience; he will have less influence and he will be first to be criticised and tested for his genuine success in being a decent human being. I've had WAY more success making friends with MRAs than with leftists, and this is not for failure to embrace and support causes. E.g. trying to stand up for George Floyd and BLM today? Had a bunch of MRAs somehow twist my post into a discussion about due process re: false allegations, most people ignored the post entirely, saw people unfriending me which has been going on all fucking week. I've invested hours of discussion into various leftist groups and haven't had one friend request, but many headaches tbh, whereas I had several dozen (hundreds?) from MRAs and anti-feminists 2016-8.
I have one or two leftist friends, both women, somehow they manage to attract large audiences which provide constant positive feedback loops no matter what they share. Their cat, their lunch, their laugh, their worries and stresses, what they're angry about. If they post publicly on politics then sure, they'll get criticised, but also defended. If I post the wrong thing, a stupid thing, something which isn't funny, something illogical, something whiney, it will either get ignored or shat on by my own friends list. EVERYTHING I share has to be 'high value', and yet I am told status hierarchies don't exist or should not be a preoccupation? I'm more likely to have my posts getting torn apart for where it's wrong than given credit. So again all this is doing is reinforcing the reality of a burden of performance, which makes it impossible to get past the maladaptive perfectionism getting to my head. (I mean, I have an anxiety disorder, obviously)
For me this is one of the reasons that the alt right is always going to win over lonely men online. The left does not, actually, give a shit, by and large, for social alienation. As a species we just do not want to deal with the socially awkward.
