My friend has been dating this guy for 3 years, they're both 25, and he broke up with her a couple days ago just the night before a big exam. And she's been saying how he's her whole life, and that she hopes he comes back, and how she'll try to change his mind.

When I asked her why he broke up with her, she told me that a week ago they fought because she told him that she's making more efforts and giving more to the relationship, he changed since then and broke up with her because he "fell out" of love.

Obviously he realized that she'll eventually dump him if he keeps his low effort acts and decided to dump her first, and I kept telling her how she dodged a bullet but she won't listen, I told her she's only 25 and she looks much younger than that, she's doing great in her professional life and she's hella pretty, she just won't listen.

What more can I do ? It breaks my heart to see her cry over someone who didn't want to try harder.
