Tips for finding HVM in college

I’m a college student also (finishing). From my experiences it’s REALLY hard to find HVM that are currently in college, they’re too young and have some growing to do. Have you considered a recent grad/ early 20’s guy with a good career? That’s how I met my HVM, college guys just weren’t ready yet, they are looking for easy sex on campus.

In 2016 it's reported that 72% of college students used some form of Financial Aid.

College is the time where a majority of students are stressed, full time, part-time job, and involved in at least one club.

Because college students are not even at the beginning of the earning potential (because they have yet to actually graduate yet) I've come up my own criteria to assess whether or not he is HVM.

HVM in College Indicators:

Social, has friends
Hobbies,
Respectful to everyone,
Makes time out to see me at least once per week out of our busy schedules
Physical fit, has healthy diet
Puts effort in the relationship and wants to get to know you
Is transparent and is not a fuckboi

I've dated HVMs in college who didn't have jobs in college, but still managed to monetarily invest in me in small ways which I appreciate. Due to low college budgets, I like a guy who plans dates based on thought and not money.

Decide what you want within the context of your current situation. Contrary to what a lot of people on this sub say, material goods are only indicative of so much. Lots of examples of men who pay for nice dinners or even give jewelry who turn out to be unworthy of one's time. You should be able to discern that a person is thinking of you and your happiness through whatever standards you set for yourself, and this requires knowing who you are and what you want. I suggest doing a little more soul searching and you'd be surprised at how much you learn. You may not even want a partner at all.

Circling back to the initial question, let me give you an example:

My longterm bf in college was very thoughtful and did what he could within a college budget. Perhaps my most potent memory of this behaviour is when he bought me a print of my favourite Dali painting after I had only mentioned it once because it contains my favourite shade of red. Less than a month later, he gives me the print after having it framed. It probably ran him $40 total but who cares? He went to find the print (it's large), frame it, and he had to keep thinking of it till he found it. College-me was thrilled and I still have that print.

There are still HVM in college. One of my male friends is in a LDR with his high school sweetheart and paid for her flight to visit him, meticulously planned out the trip, the activities, and restaurants and of course paid for it all. He isn’t super rich either, but he works a part-time job and used that money.

Even if college kids are broke, HVM will still find a way to show their devotion to you. There are tons of ways to do that without spending a lot of money.
