I have friends who let men treat them like absolute trash and end up going back to them and i never know what to say to them. I don’t want to act holier than though and the truth is when you try to say that they shouldn’t go back , THEY NEVER LISTEN and end up making excuses for themselves/ the guy.

Like for example my friend hooked up with a guy a few years ago and he ghosted her. This guy and i used to be friends so that’s how they know each other. Anyways, they start talking and hooking up again a few years later and he stood her up the other night then a couple weeks later texts her “ i need a date to my work xmas party and you’re the only half decent girl i know “ . She called him out on being stood up but eventually agreed to meet up. She said in the end she’s winning bc he’s gonna “ eat her out and buy her a dress” i didn’t bother saying anything and just glazed over it bc i know she’ll just get defensive. Ive also been there and i don’t wanna act like i’m suddenly better bc i’m now in a healthy happy relationship with a guy who values me .

what should i do?
