When you start talking to a guy, how soon do you you kiss, hug, etc?

I'm not really sure how to behave or how soon a guy should get touchy.

I messed up and I think I kissed a guy too early. We had been texting less than a week and he came to see a couple of times. I've never kissed before and was really curious. So we kissed. I decided not to go on a date with him afterwards because it was obvious we weren't a match and he may have just wanted a hookup.
