I can't believe we've regressed to the point that a man should get to ask you whether it's okay to choke you or spit on you. I'd kick him out, block and delete for that. Next men will be "asking" if they can rape you. Women will be like "he just raped me without asking!" And people will say he should have "asked first". Just the same as we see now over on the relationship and dating advice subs.

Sadly the same thing has happened with groping and touching by strange man in public. Everyone keeps whining that it was "without her permission". As if there would be any meaningful way a man could get consent by going up to a woman that he doesn't know in public and asking her if he can grope her? Apparently they think that men should be able to go up to a strange woman in public and ask to grope her and that's not seen already as an assault? And a fearful position he put her in where she would have to say yes anyway? Men can't ask to violate someone. You can't get permission for violation. Just like you can't get permission for assault.

Consent ends when a man starts choking you out of the blue. It ends if he slaps you. It ends if he spits on you. Everything that takes place sexually after that is rape because the man has just assaulted you and put you in a fearful position where no meaningful consent can be given.

Just like "surprise anal" is anal rape, surprise BDSM makes it rape. And "asking" a red flag.
