So I was on a first date with this seemingly great guy, good money, wasn't too pushy or anything. We hit a restaurant, and I've mentioned this sub in conversation so he KNEW I wasn't some doormat. The date went fine, but it became clear that he wanted to get physical, and I don't do that on a first, or second, or third date. The place we were at was really upscale, his choice, and we had some wine to go along with the food.

I casually asked if he had his cards ready for payment, and he kinda froze. He tried acting cool, and said he had to go to the bathroom. I spotted him empathically saying that the bill was going "to the lady over there", and, since he bailed, I got stuck with a 150 dollar fucking bill.

I tried calling him out, and asking him for the money he owed me, but he had blocked me on everything while I was stuck trying not to get fucking arrested for ripping off an upscale restaurant. I hate dating men, is there no fucking end to the shit they pull? Take this as a lesson, ladies. If he suddenly gets uncomfortable by something you say, call for the check RIGHT AWAY. Leave NO room for the asshole to run off without paying or a goodbye!
