Started dating a guy a few months ago who aggressively pursued me. Met in a sports group, was always inviting me out every weekend and organising the dates, generally taking the lead and making sure I had a good time. He asked me out and I agreed because he seemed like a nice guy and I enjoyed his company. I wasn't that invested at this point. Timing-wise we had sex two weeks after we became exclusive. Red flag 1 - I told him I wanted to wait a bit because this was my first relationship and I hadn't slept with a man before. I nearly broke up with him because he was pushy, he begged me and said he understood. I rationalised it as miscommunication because we don't speak each other's first languages fluently. He asked again the second week. I said fuck it, this was probably the pace adult relationships moved at and I should just get it over and done with. It wasn't a bad experience, but with hindsight I would have preferred waiting. I was invested at this point. I went on holiday afterwards, came back, we had argument over communicating and he broke up with me saying he didn't see a future with me.

I was scrolling through insta yesterday because he still watches my stories and realised something again - all the western women he follows are either hikers or straight up soft core porn models. Whilst all the Japanese women he follows are his friends or just cute normal models. Dude was probably just looking for a cool foreign western woman to fuck and move on. Why he couldn't do that via tinder I have no idea.

I'm now at the 'I'm pissed' stage of being broken up with and I don't know how to get over him.  I've blocked him from all contact with me, but I don't want to stop going to our mutual sports group because I like playing and have friends there. I'm also pissed I didn't break up with him when I wanted to. How do I stop beating myself up about this? I don't want to spend any more energy on this guy.
