Need to pick up a sport of some sort. Was thinking rowing but had bjj suggested to me and generally hyped up on here. Each has pros and cons

Rowing

Pros:

- A lot of people, most people actually, start at my age and become really good at it

- It's a really good sport for getting recruited by top colleges, since they all have rowing teams and you have a higher chance (not easy, make no mistake, but easier) of getting recruited than popular sports

- It's good for building your body

- Team sport, so you get camaraderie and friendship

Cons:

- Practices are literally at 5 am, so I won't get enough sleep

- Outside school, so doesn't improve social proof at school

BJJ

Pros:

- Learning to fight is good for confidence

- It's also obviously useful if you ever get into a fight with someone

- It's a sport I can do even after college, which can't be said for rowing

- Lots of older guys (I assume) at bjj classes, so good way to meet older guys and get them to be my mentor, so to speak

Cons:

- No college recruiting

- Less opportunity to make friends. Like I said, lots of older people at bjj classes: they can be my mentor, but they're not going to be my buddies I hang out with

Which one sounds better?
