Been with a girl for three months now. Started off as a plate and now is transitioning to a LTR, important to understand we are not "dating" but are essentially exclusive. Recently, she stopped snapchatting/texting me for a few days, thought it was odd, but didn't bring it up.

She came over last night and discussed how she has some serious family issues, especially with her drug addicted siblings and how they treat her parents. On top of that, she also has mono, and has been exhausted the last few weeks.

She said she might need to take a break from the relationship because she feels obligated to spend time with me and contact me and such. No matter what I said, she felt that she couldn't live with herself if she wasn't there for me everyday. She says that she can't be there for me all the time cause of all the shit going on back home. However, she clearly stated that she "does not want to lose me" and that I'm an "amazing guy". I comforted her a bit and listened and suggested that she take some time to think about it. I told I would give her space and time, but we both made it clear that we didn't want to break up at all.

Just need some opinions on how I handled it and tips for this very strange situation. I don't plan on contacting her until she reaches back out to me. I know that comforting her and expressing some emotion is BP, but this girl seems very honest and I think she would've broke it off if she wanted to.
