One thing I've learned about dating is to zoom in on where the person actually lives. I once dated someone and we went back to his place (tour only). On the main level everything was neat and tidy like a hotel -- almost unlived in (clue). Then he showed me the downstairs, and that was the real deal. That was where he slept, dressed, etc. I think the upstairs was for wooing potential women. It kind of weirded me out, because it was not integrated and it seemed like part of his life was "for show".

I also noticed this with a professional I went to see. We had to walk through her private office area to the client area, and the two rooms were very different.
