This is not exactly scientific, but here's been my experience. I grew up in the American South and saw the effect of tough "good old boys" with a chip on their shoulder about "protecting their women." So many idiot assholes working deadend jobs they hated who took out their frustrations on their wives because they were "ungrateful" for them "bleeding to the bone providing for their families." There was a pretty clear correlation too between the insecure assholes acting masculine and cocky and abuse.

Frankly this experience was the main reason I wanted to move to a city and wanted to make damn sure that I could be independent and not let a man use financial superiority as a weapon against me. Fortunately things worked out and I got a nice career and met some great men along the way. In general I'd say that these men are definitely not as "masculine" as the heroes from back home but imo that's a huge blessing.

Yeah I do and it's pretty stupid. Yes, weak men hurt women, I'm not denying that. But they're not always weak because they're unmasculine, they're weak because they're TOO masculine. They have an idea of what masculinity and men look like and react violently and explosively when you challenge their masculinity. It's why John List murdered his family after he lost his job and could no longer be the provider, it's why incels go on shooting sprees when they can't get women (and thus have 'failed' as men), it's why Bagel Guy threw a tantrum and tried to fight a 6'4 dude when a woman offered him a mini donut it's why many men get whiny and insecure about their wives making more money than them. Their whole sense of self is tied up in how much of a MAN they are and when something or someone threatens that, they snap. Their sense of masculinity is so fragile because it's based on external validation rather than internal validation so anything that threatens that threatens them. A masculine man, for example, wouldn't be afraid to casually wear a pink shirt because he's secure in his manliness (masculinity) and doesn't feel the need to prove it to anyone. Toxic masculinity would be if he freaked out at you for buying him a pink shirt because "People will assume I'm gay!!!!" (aka he's insecure and has to constantly remind everyone of how masculine he is because deep down inside he fears that he isnt). Anyone challenging his masculinity, then, is in danger.

You’re arguing that men can be toxic and that’s the entire point of the original post. Of course they can be toxic, as can females. But it’s the idiots that think that being a strong man means preying upon the weakness of others that are toxic. Not masculinity as a whole

Masculinity is a noun, it is not defined by the actions of weak males and if you believe that it is, I feel very sorry for you

All of those things you described were not the result of being too masculine. They were the result of weak human beings

Let me clearly explain what the point of my post is, since it seems you are not absorbing it:

Real men do not abuse others. They stand strong in their role as protectors. They take care of the women they love. They do not abuse their role as the physically stronger gender to gain power over women.

If you haven’t realized by now that both men and women need to help one another to balance out their strengths and weaknesses and create a better future and a more harmonious world, you have a long way to go in your journey of upleveling.

It’s funny how you refused to engage earlier with the excuse of not being a “pick me”. But now you’re all in. What changed your mind?

How am I being a pick me if I'm saying that real men are violent, please explain? Last comment you were saying I hated all men and was bitter towards them (with some condescending nonsense about "when you get a boyfriend") and now I'm a pick me? Lemme guess, by next comment I'll be a RPW, right?

And again, I've already done the weeding out part. I'm already IN a relationship. I also have good relationships with my dad and brother, several uncles, and some male friends. That doesn't change my opinion.

Edit: the way I see it, I think that the majority of men are bad while you think that the majority of men aren't bad, hence the "real men don't abuse women". But more than 90% of men watch porn, and a good number of that is very twisted shit like incest porn, "fake" rape, "facefucking", BDSM, etc. I also believe that a sickening number of men would rape a woman or child if it became legal. Not all of them, sure, but honestly, probably most. If we live in a world where 90%+ of men are regularly masturbating to women in pain or women suffering, then "real men" aren't good. The average man is pretty shitty and that's why it is so hard to find a high value man. Because for every 1 HVM there are 10 pornsick losers or would-be rapists or just regular misogynists. If finding a high value man was easy, this sub wouldn't exist and women wouldn't be cheated on/abused/murdered bu the men they love.
