For those dudes who haven't had GF's yet, think about the excitement for a game release you and your buddies waited months for. That amped up, "Finally it's friday" vibe where everyone is jazzed about finally playing it together and you all spend a weekend burning through it and laughing the whole time.

That experience is about 40% more enjoyable, more relaxed, and more fun than the best date weekend with a GF you're into. No matter what, you'll never have that same level of fun and enjoyment, because you really can't bond the same way. There's a fundamental disconnect between our kinds, they enjoy stuff differently than we do.

Like, for all the gals I've known who liked to do stuff. let's say mountain biking. The guys love biking, they love the act of squaring their bike away, of driving up, of pedalling their way up a mountain and aiming for a new record time, then blasting back down the course whipping and sliding the whole way. They love the act itself.

They don't care about the bike's particulars, it's more important that the bike is nice and shows off a level of status. Expensive, illustrious=good! Post about it and how nice it is. Eh, she's not into the pedaling, it's too tough and uncomfortable pushing yourself. Maybe she'll spin up 1/5 of the course, stopping every chance she can for a photo op. The goal isn't the activity itself, it's obtaining suitable evidence that the activity occurred. She wants to portray the image of a hard core biker, because she likes the style, the health implications, the 'cool girl' vibe, the illusion of work. But she doesn't take a moment to appreciate the view unless it's through a viewfinder, and her mind is never on the act itself. It's on the end result of everyone seeing her portrayal of it and the ensuing social capital.
