Agee with the advice. Don’t fix anything. Don’t ask for details. Just listen and let them begin and let them end the conversation. Offer to kill the offender.

It’s HER responsibility to resolve her childhood traumas. Its your responsibility to make sure her issues don’t indict YOU.

Be reasonably compassionate. More importantly, know when to walk away if/when she uses it (even in the slightest) to manipulate the relationship.

Don’t invest too much In damaged goods.

Not always, but a sign she is damaged goods. Recall how you met her - was she easy? Does she seek to bond with everyone she meets, dependent on others for happiness? Mind filled with fantasies? These are some stereotypes of women who been been abused.

It’s often not worth the effort due to all the collateral mental damages she suffered from the abuse.
