Should I go all out on my dream or play it carefully

As a person that is currently going all in on my dream. I can only say one thing, do it, do it, do it and do it. You going to die anyway famous or not famous, rich or not rich. Death doesn't read magazines and doesn't look in the pockets of anybody to decide if you're gonna live or not. You're always going to die

Yo don't be the person that asks "what if" go all out. You don't have much time to live.

Besides you already know the answer, you're just looking for confirmation or permission or validation that what you think is the right choice.

Artistic Success.... Nope bad idea. Like very bad idea, and I hate saying this, cause following your dream is the best motivation you can get in life. I can tell you right now that art tends to lead people nowhere. (As it is a service that is not required for society to function)

Keep it as a hobby, constantly look for ways to improve, and sell your art on the side (if that's your thing), and if you make enough money from it to survive, then you can do it full time. But I reckon you should focus on making your way into another industry that you enjoy. (That is required by society to function)

Doing a field you don't enjoy: bored throughout your youth but as you get older, you deal with it and don't mind it anymore due to how much money it made you

your young bro so that means your risk levels are low as you can go to college or whatever the fuck you wanna do when your older pursue your dreams now nothings worse than being 60 years old with regret thinking what couldve happened and if people are telling you no ignore them they got sucked into the system most likely go out the and live the life you want mate!

Two ways of approaching this:

1) Going all in - to maximize your odds of being successful, if you must support yourself financially, either try to get the job that pays the most for the least amount of your time/energy, or get a job in which you can even work on your project while still getting paid, albeit shit wages (think night-time security gig). Either way, when you're not on the clock, you're on the other clock, the one pertaining to your dreams. Constantly remind yourself that you have to do what you must in order to get it done. If you go this route, the more your dream becomes a hobby, the more that shit-job will gnaw and eat away at your soul. You can't lose perspective. Work is to pay the bills/feed yourself, and time away from "work" is your free time to get your vision off the ground. You really ought to be prepared to hustle like a motherfucker if you do things this way versus the next option..

2) The "safe approach" - Often looked down upon, but I personally find zero shame in taking this route. If you can't find something that even moderately interests you, at least pursuit something you find bearable. Try to find where that meets together with a solid job-demand and job-outlook, how much time and energy is demanded, and how well it pays. There's nothing glamorous about being in your mid to late 30s and living with three other roommates because your barista job barely gets you over minimum wage and your art career has taken a hundred detours ("...but this is the year! Watch!") Setting aside 2-4 years to acquire a practical skill set so that you're not dying internally from working shit jobs would contribute greatly toward the prevention of this sort of outcome. Also, you may develop a taste for your trade (whatever that may be), become quite proficient at it, make a lot of money, and find yourself dramatically altering the course of your life from that point onward. You're still going to have to hustle to make your dreams come true if you carry out this plan of action, but the threat of letting your dreams fall by the wayside may grow greater. The upside is that you won't have to worry much about being choosy where you want to live, not having to constantly live on an extremely tight budget etc.

Whichever path you take, remember that who you know will likely open more doors for you than what you know. Aim to become amazing at what you do, but never lose sight of the power of networking.

Why can’t you do both? For example, why can’t you have a normal career that pays the bills while pursuing your passion on the side until it grows big enough that you can confidently switch over to that full-time? If you’re as talented as you say you are you should reach that point fairly quickly. If the only reason you couldn’t is because of the time or effort it takes to do both, then you probably don’t have what it takes to be successful in your venture anyway.

I went to acting school when I was younger...some of my classmates have been huge since...didn't go that way for me.

It's not a great option. Don't anticipate, though...that something else will be unrewarding. You obviously have some talents, so think about how you could channel that into something else, that still has meaning.

Man, I've ended up doing a whole different mission...and I love it...probably more than the creative stuff.
