I have yet to see Feminists openly oppose social norms such as "Women&Children first" mentality and men being socially obligated to pay for dates, fight the wars and clean the gutters. Nah, they want Women to keep the sexist privileges of the past and some.

They never will - that would go against their core goal. Feminism is totally about gaining rights for women and crushing men's rights. It is impossible for them to argue otherwise with any rationality.

Also man being the one who purchases a super expensive ring to try and and prove his love.

[–]Gordop0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Engagement/wedding rings were never a sign of love. Initially they were meant to display a man's ability to acquire resources or wealth. The woman would either accept or deny based on whether the ring was "big" enough. That is why in the past men earned more money and owned more property. It wasn't because men were oppressing women. Women were demanding men acquire wealth as a prerequisite for marriage. In a nutshell, blame for the wage gap of the past can be laid squarely at the feet of women.

How can you be an incel if your getting laid and regularly? Are you a pink pill brigader or a lovely TERF? You are literally living on the fringes of society yet you call others a fringe movement? There appears to be far more femcels out there too.... either way incels, femcels, pink pillers you're all as fucked as each other... get back to the real world. I genuinely feel massive amounts of pity for you.

Male gender roles are toxic to men though

[–]mellainadiba[S] 1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy

Lol you literally didn't get the meme. LMAO. It is referring to a integral argument fundamental to feminist theory and is mocking its use of things like toxic masculinity which counterpart is.... not toxic femininity but internalised mysogony as toxic femininity can exists as a concept. Misandry also can't exist as a concept according to their theory. Its some proper George Orwell come to life shit, you can't make it up.

As a side note, they are clearly not toxic when they literally built the world and everything in it. I don't just mean the internet and computer that you are trying this on, everything from your QWERTY keyboard to the house you typing from, the tampon you wear was.... yeah masculinity has been real bad for society and men themselves right?

[–]Rozycka1230 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

Well what’s toxic is thinking men have to be tall and sleep with a lot of women to be real men and that gay men aren’t real men

[–]mellainadiba[S] 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

Of course those behaviours are bad. They are not gender specific and that is not what the meme was about.

You will need to understand fem theory to understand this meme...

BTW toxic femininity cant exist in feminist theory. Literally. By design. If a woman does the exact same behaviour that is toxic masculilty it is not toxic, also there is not a female equivalent. Here isa quote, sorry for the tone: A video also describing toxic femininty is linked.

I didn't say toxic femininity didn't exist, but go ahead and make a strawman argument.

[–]mellainadiba[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

The straw man is your argument. I am not saying you, I said feminists. If you are a feminist (or are not), then you saying yeah but I don't believe that is irrelevant. Also toxic femininity does not exist by design to feminists. It is not possible. At best it is internalised mylgony.

The whole meme is about academic and mainstream feminism, and a particular flaw in one of its main teachings. Not you.

My take is Toxic feminiity is just a set of bad beahviours, like toxic masculinity. It just so happens they are far more common in women. They are both unhelpful terms. But of course, to feminist ideology toxic femininity literally does not exists. Literally. Tox Masc is part of wider strategy to generally make being seen as male a bad thing and being seen as female good... man spreading, manterrupting etc are all part of that. Now that Karen has taken off, feminists are losing their shit and trying their best to mark this a racists, classist, sexists argument.... they don't like identity politics or the idea of privelage when it goes the wrong way

[–]Rozycka1230 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I'm not a feminist

[–]mellainadiba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Thats great. I was one for four years until I saw past the toxic hate cult it was. As I said, to get the meme you would need to know the specific bit of feminist patriarchy theory being exposed in that meme. To a casual observer, I understand how you would misinerpret that, but the actual meme is related to feminist theory, fundamental bread and butter stuff. It gets better too.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
