It should be the kind of thing where instead of giving a homeless person money, you buy them something to eat. You should be able to purchase goods for the child, provide receipts and proof of delivery to that child, and allow that to amount to whatever you might owe in child support every month.

Worked at a grocery store when I was 15. The amount of skirts with an entire card was insane. Many of them I walked to their car (mercedes) and got to see a bit of their real lifestyle. Pretty crazy how manipulative folks can be.

Of course this won't happen. Most party animal single mothers spend their child support and other hand outs on booze smokes and partying. Basically every single mother ive known that get these payments consider them pay checks, literally a small percent might go to the kid indirectly like when she buys food. But i can tell you from first hand experience single mothers don't use this money for their kids.

I disagree. Child support (aka stealth alimony) should be done away with completely, and the kid should be given to the one paying to support it (i.e. get rid of the Tender Years Doctrine).

totally agree. And the father should be able to check what she bought since it is also his money and his child. if we have this, i would not be totally against paying child support without that the man can't decide anything.
