Bullshit. Most people get mad if someone is showing positive progress when they aren't. Especially with your peers, people will talk shit for no reason.

If these are strangers though, maybe you're walking around like you're hot shit. That will definitely get you some hate.

There is a trope that SK women love white men. Anecdotally I have found this to be true. Western culture has also given some groups airs of superiority, so they probably actually do think that they are better than you.

Well that's 20kg, or just over 3 stone. If it was all muscle then yeah, that's a BIG drop and might explain it. If you were hench as fuck before and now a little skinny (or worse, the dreaded skinny-fat look) then that's reasonable of them.

However if not, especially if you lost 3 stone of fat (which would make you better looking in most cases), then it's probably just a culture shock and it's largely in your head.

East Asian cultures like that are generally very polite, so you probably just weren't used to it when you returned to Western Europe.
