She's learnt that relationships with guys who sexually excite her tend to turn into trainwrecks. So she's decided to try "taking it very slow" with guys who don't strongly sexually excite her. Now, these guys will not appreciate being made to take it very slow, especially when she's given sex on the 1st-3rd date to near strangers many times before. Subconsciously she knows this, so she will equivocate and mislead him about her past - although this will not be a conscious strategy on her part, it will just seem like the right thing to do.
