I mean, I guess the top charts have always featured simp music to a large degree, going back decades and decades. I rarely listen to the radio; I have a spotify account with my own music I play all the time. But whenever I go to other people's places and stuff and they play the radio, it's always sad/depressing/simp music. It sucks because some of the songs are good/catchy, but they're terrible for the mind. Putting women on a pedestal. Crying over a woman leaving. Wondering what else could've been done. Begging and pleading for her to come back. Proclaiming eternal sadness without her. All mistakes that we've all made once, but also ridiculous and unhealthy messages to perpetuate.

Lewis Capaldi is a great singer and artist but unfortunately his music is sad and simp as fuck.

Bruises: "Counting days, counting days

Since my love up and got lost on me

And every breath that I've been takin'

Since you left feels like a waste on me

I've been holding onto hope

That you'll come back when you can find some peace"

Someone You Loved: "But now the day bleeds

Into nightfall

And you're not here, To get me through it all

I let my guard down, And then you pulled the rug

I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved"

Hold Me While You Wait

Always, I'll Care
