You have to learn to appreciate him for what he's good at: full disclosure. He won't bat an eye writing an article that doesn't shine the best light on himself, he will actually admit to his failures, and doesn't simply sugar coat everything with bullshit. I think this is where people get confused and start talking about how "shit" he is, any other "pickup" writer wouldn't even mention that they once upon a time had a 3 month dry spell or whatever, but Roosh would. He puts reality above his own image, which I respect.
This and for a hairy ass muther fucker that doesn't have natural good looks, he pulls out alright.

I'm back and forth about Roosh. Some posts on RoK are very deep and thought provoking, yet others such as the fat people articles are shallow and a waste of time to read (IMO).

Huge fan of most of Roosh V's work. He writes a lot of good stuff about game, work ethic, and self-improvement to actually make yourself a well-rounded man that you, and other others respect. He writes a lot of good book reviews, and his social commentary is both spot on and interesting to read about. But I think he, like other manosphere writers like to stir shit now and again (i.e fat shaming week, personal attacks on feminists.... just to name a few)
I'd love for my good friends to really get into a lot of the stuff we talk about here, but when manosphere writers stir shit and writing inflammatory and outright mean spirited click bait, at least from an outsiders point of view, (not all that different from the Jezebel's and Buzzfeeds of the net, that many complain about) it kind of makes it hard to sell.

Yeah, he can get laid. Congradulations. I too have fucked women all over the world, but I was able to do it without having to lie and make a fake persona for myself. See that's the problem, getting laid isn't hard. Yeah, Roosh can teach guys how to get laid by manipulating them, but so what? At the end of the day, you haven't solved your problem. You're still the same person, but now you know how to manipulate people to cover up your own shortcomings.

It's more like, if someone is bad at basketball, instead of going on the court and pretending to be the best player around, they should instead learn how to be a better basketball player. Instead of pretending to know how to shoot fieldgoals, actually understand that the reason I'm bad at field goals is because I have bad form, and I should probably correct that.

Maybe we aren't reading the same writer then because I haven't seen him lying and manipulating like you and OP are claiming.
I'm not saying roosh is perfect. He's only a man so of course he has his faults. But I don't see too many others with mulitple books, a active forum and two websites that are now drawing mainstream attention so I don't understand where the hate is coming from.

Hey, I agree. I have no personal problem with the guy. C'est la vie. If he wants to live his life the way he chooses, and also teaches others to follow that path, then fine. There are definitely much better alternatives though. I was mainly just trying to point out that just because he fucks women and people pay him to learn how, doesn't mean he's any better than the standard PUA -- except maybe that he knows how to run a business.

Roosh is the saint of self improvement for TRP. Or at least the manosphere. He's basically done everything he wanted. The hardest part of his life is figuring out what to do next. I think of him as a kind of misguided Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I think Roosh is trash personally.
The first time I've seen a Haji that is also a white supremacist.
Dude must be seriously fucked up mentally. I really tried to give him a chance but dudes like Rollo And Citizen Renegade are better.
The guy comes off as a bitch to me to be honest. Very effeminate and not respectable.
I do give him credit for being open with his opinions though and actually putting his face to his opinions and work something that is considerably dangerous.
Also RoK is an easy to consume platform although it is a mixed bag I think it does offer good content from time to time.
