Thats not what gaslighting is, gaslighting is when somebody outright denies the past or attempts to confuse it. For example, if you were abused by your mom because she burned you with cigarettes, she could gaslight by pretending it never happened or by demanding a level specificity about the incident which is unattainable i.e “If your memory is so good, tell me what day of the week this allegedly happened on? How was the weather that day?”.

So because she is a complete failure as a person, unable to work on her childish insecurities well into adulthood - the guy is at fault?

To me it looks like she deep down knows her personality is sh*t. And she is actively looking for an excuse to break up a healthy relationship because she (probably rightfully) feels she is on borrowed time and that the guy will lose interest soon. She is trash, but insecure trash at that, wanting to "quit while she is ahead".
