Was that a shit test?

I was on a date with a girl, After spending some time with her, I didn’t wanted to escalate because she was an emotional mess.

Anyway(after the date), We were in a mall. I saw an “lifestyle accessory” store. I wanted to check it out so I said “Let’s go inside”.

There were many kind of things inside the store. I was looking at some earphones and the earphones had different designs on it. I picked one to buy and the chick goes “Why are you buying them? They don’t look like for Men, it’s such a girly design”.

Firstly, I couldn’t even fucking tell if those design/print is for Men or women. I took them because the had a nice summer nostalgic ring to them (in terms of design).

Secondly, If I want to buy em, I will buy it.

I replied with a confused look “What do you mean, they don’t look like for men?”

For a moment I was kinda annoyed that I can’t even buy something without a girl telling me why you shouldn’t buy it. This was probably a shit test, which I didn’t cared about. What’s a good reply for it?
