Lookism starts in childhood. Children do it, adults do it.
The impact is just crazy. People get more opportunities, get treated better, and are perceived as smarter, nicer. They get shorter sentences.
The differences are bigger for men, so lookism affects men more.
The link also disproves this myth running around that people find different faces attractive.
