The concept of "he's cheap" is a genius manipulation tactic. "Cheap" sounds so nasty, yet it just means not handing over your resources unearned. Like there was a nasty word for refusing to give in to a thief. The antidote is internalizing the concepts of gaslighting and self as point of origin.

Most of my friends have niches they choose to spend their money. Some like cars, some take frequent ski trips, but none of them want IT ALL... Fancy house, car, vacations, etc. They all know they make, have their retirement goals, know their safe zone financially, and will keep certain aspects of their life simple to be able to afford what they really like.

The only ones that struggle with that are the married ones and its always "my wife won't stop spending money on pointless shit".

The Single women I know.... will want it all, and spend spend spend, then when unexepcted event X happens, they whine how they are "screwed"

He's an interesting guy. Kind of in recovery. His ex (sounds like a real piece of work) really took him to the cleaners. I used to be a bit dubious of his high-power tech existence/career, though I guess he really got fired from FB by bad-mouthing progressive/SJW philosophies, which was certainly commendable. He has really been doing some public purging and healing since getting divorce-raped. He can be real damn funny at times. I think his original kind of simp is mainly his parents fault (sound like traditional Asians). Yeah, he's got more interesting stuff about his divorce experience.
