Don’t need to flag me for suicidal thoughts. I like this sub because people are open. It’s quarantined anyways, not many will know. I want to know the harsh truths.

If someone has a sure way to end it. what benefit does the society have in preventing them from doing it? Why are there crisis lines and all those services that get funded with government money?

What harm would come from having people use euthanasia like in the Giver when they request it? I’m sure many people won’t take that route, who actually see a point in life, but having it as an option should be accessible for those who don’t want to play the game.

Is it just because capitalism needs constantly a working class? That’s the only reason I could see the government would be so against it, they need workhorses.
