It is too much to ask because men are not naturally monogamous. We've been programmed by society to think that it's normal. Bottom line is that we all got here because our ancestors were philandering about.
Why being monogamous for me is scary: I love my freedom, I don't like to be told what to do. Most men don't. It's not in our nature.
I think Women nowadays strive for monogamy out of fear. They are afraid of another woman coming along and doing a better job than them and replacing them. Sometimes monogamy seems practical.
Monogamy is practical, and I would say ideal and very reasonable to expect in a partner, but not possible for everyone. Women face instinctual hypergamy, men face instinctual polygamy. By genetic force, lack of discipline, cultural permissiveness, or a combination thereof, these men and women will always seek out another partner, though they do so in different ways. It is better that they do so without pretending to be interested in monogamy in my opinion.

I have a rule about never dating women older/more powerful/more famous than yourself, but Asian women look 22 from 14-42 so they subvert that some.

Japanese women think part of the relationship duties are to keep the guy's balls drained at least once per day. Some will even go so far as to let you get with other women if you are travelling for business and she can't sex you.
