Serial killers and mass murderers exhibit the traits of the Dark Triad™ (narcissism, machiavellianism, psychopathy). Alpha men also tend to exhibit these traits. Although serial killers and mass murderers are not alpha men the women see these traits and think they are and swoon for them en mass.

It leaves me wondering if it's a degree of extremity. That is, she has such a low opinion of the majority of men and has so many walls around her to keep them away that on some unconscious level, she now realizes that the only men who would actively pursue her are straight-out murders and stalkers. An unconscious seeking of a man who will literally not give a shit about any of her issues and just smash right through them....except, of course, that the only men who will behave this way in the real world are insane.

Either that or she's convinced that these dangerous men are the "true face" of masculinity or some such, and believes that she's looking at some kind of underlying drive in all those other men who she dislikes so much. I can't help but wonder if it's a combination of self-justification ("All men are like this, these ones are merely honest about it") and desire ("Normal men are all pathetic and won't challenge me, maybe he will").

It could just be a random interest. I love action movies, but that doesn't mean I want to be trapped in a high rise by terrorists with only a pocketknife to fight with. Still, it just seems like such an odd combination - "Feminism is the wonderful thing that will save the world if only we can get rid of all this male oppression" coupled with "Oooo, these bad boys are SO fascinating."

As others have pointed out, anything Dark Triad is chick crack and no amount of gibsmedat political indoctrination can change that, it's biotruth. I remember when that godawful, disgusting movie Saw came out and my gf at the time forced me to go see it. The theater was packed with teenage girls squirming in their moistened seats. It's fucking creepy.

My GF is way obsessed with serial killers, she has books on them and the whole thing. Bundy is her favorite because, yes you guessed it, he is sexy. The only thing that separates her from the OP is the feminism bullshit.

She doesn't. I'm "friends" with hundreds of people on Facebook via social and business connections. However, I make my Facebook homepage a personalized list of just the people I really care to follow, which is a tiny list. I only see her posts when I get idly curious and check my "full" list to see what everyone is saying.

I bet she thinks she could "fix" the serial killer, all women want a man they can fix up! That would be the ultimate man remodeling, and with enough nagging, she probably thinks she could turn him into a model husband. She probably hasn't thought far enough ahead that the consequences of her ending up in a shallow grave.
