If you got out of depression, I have a question for you.

I'm starting to acknowledge I might have some deeper problems that surfaces time to time. I was just surpressing and trying to build myself with a broken basis perhaps.

I found a basic solution:

  1. Reach a state of normalness and get your mind working properly. Sleep, healthy diet, supplements, exercise, socialize, work towards to make a living.

  2. Once you reach a normal state, look around and find something you want.

Time to time, I reach a normal state and I want things like women and friends. But I can't say I truly wanted anything in past decade or so. This might be because I was having significant levels of cortizol and stress my whole life due to some things. I got in and out of a typical clinical depression a few years ago by myself but appearently I might not really be out of it to this day.

I think this guy gives good advice. He says the most truthful things I heard so far about depression. He says:

you only gonna live once as far as you know. you have got all eternity to be dead. so why not see how this plays out. and try as best as you can.... you can try hard and see how it plays out because you never know what could happen. "You can make choice to try. So why not try?"

I see what he is saying but I am not there yet. I might be still in the pit.

He also says to get out of the pit, you have to accept you are at the bottom and you have to let go of the rope. I watched the video twice but I didn't understand what he means by letting go of the rope. What is that mean? He didn't want to spell it out in the video. Maybe I don't want to see it. What does he mean by that?

edit. is it hope??

edit 2. i can do implement this into my life: "i won't let anything to stop me from being happy" but i wonder if my subcouncious will accept that over time, or am i just faking it?
