I am a university student in my early 20s and am starting to date again after ending a long term relationship. I went on a first date with a PhD student recently, and I had a nice time. We went out for ice cream, and he paid. He is only a few years older than me. Yesterday he asked me on a second date to get coffee.

I know that FDS preaches to not accept coffee dates, and I never have because the other men I’ve seen recently are out of school and have good jobs. This is my first time dating another student. Should I accept this date / keep seeing him? Are coffee dates acceptable in this situation or are they never okay?
