I'm neither mod nor a friend of the mods. Never had any chat with them except getting pre-approval for a post. But posting MGTOW content on Reddit for over 3 years now.

Well, some of you men might feel this sub seems very toughly moderating and preventing the freedom of expression. One of my posts also was locked because it was just a criticism about an individual woman.

But we have to remember we are under the roof of a mainstream company. So we have to follow their rules (their property, their rules). With the recent TOS changes, even upvoting hatred content is also a TOS violation.

So the way of moderating this sub makes this sub last longer. Also, it helps to keep the MGTOW image clean and it makes more men attracted to the MGTOW lifestyle.

On other hand, the mods are more open-minded. The post I got pre-approval was even unpublished by other subs but these mods let it to discuss by other men as it was all about MGTOW.

We can see even some Incels join in this sub as most of their subs are banned due to ToS violations. We welcome them for the MGTOW lifestyle too but they try black-pilling here. (MGTOW is based on redpill, and its focus is individual self-improvement while say out of sexual relationships.) And if there is more black-pilled content, the mainstream would mistake MGTOW as a branch of Incels and label us as a hatred group. To prevent that such tough moderation is required.

Also, it is great to see sometimes the mods join with the discussion instead of remain as ghosts.

So I appreciate mods for keeping this men's space in accordance with the Reddit rules and it helps not only for the sub but individual MGTOW users to stay longer without being banned, but also shine the public image of MGTOW, direct men for self-improvement and get more men for the MGTOW lifestyle.
