Please read to the end before bashing me.
I don't belong to any social movements like feminism, blm etc. I have a few ideals that might sync with these groups, but there are many which are not. If I am a part of such groups, then the ideals which I dont accept become mine. If you want equality, I am all for it. But if you think you must be paid equal to a guy who does overtime or night shifts while you are too lazy to even go to work properly, then gtfo. If you believe every man is equal irrespective of their skin, religion or nationality then I will rally behind you. If you think only while males can be racist or every muslim is terrorist or every indian guy is horny bastard, then I might punch you. My ideals might be imperfect, but they are flexible. I have changed multiple times. In my earlier years I used to think that men and women are equal therefore I should be a feminist. Then I discovered internet and everything changed. I may have respect for the movement that enabled ladies to vote and stuff. But I lost all that once I saw a chick throwing bleach on man's crotch for trying not to squeeze his balls in subway.
Thing is I am not MGTOW, yet. Infact, I came across this word only a few weeks ago. First time it was a comment on the video "Lioness wishing for any shade of gray". Someone commented "Even lions are going mgtow". I noticed it, but took little interest. Then there were a few posts on different platforms bashing mgtow. That's when I started getting more and more interested in the subject. I started researching on it and saw nothing wrong with it. But everyone, not just feminists, everyone seem to bash it. I asked why? There were a few response:
- MGTOW classifies all women in same evil category (ironic, right?)
- They are running from responsibility
- It's a protest against women asking for equality
- They are toxic
The way I see it, mgtow is about distancing yourself with a relationship that causes an irreversible change in the life. Some women say a world without men would be a paradise, yet they get angry when men distance themselves with women. It's financially and mentally a logical decision. Take example of your dad, (from non broken homes of course), how much he spent on you, your mom your siblings etc. How many of us even saw him as anything other than a source of money? How many of us know how he was like when he was young? He might have some dreams, something he wanted to do or buy, when he had money. Was he able to do it? Do we even know what was his bucket list? All we know is that he did many things. And even that knowledge is not complete. I recently found out that decent play or elementary schools even interview parents before admitting the child. Add to it every other things he does. What share or his income is spent on you? And the stress of raising child? Rebel teenagers? For what? And that's only from his children assuming he has perfect family. What about his wife? In laws? How much he had to go through.
All this makes me actually think it is better to live alone. We are not monarchs of some country in dark ages (right guys?), we dont need to expand our bloodlines. The economy is fucked. The society is fucked. Engineers working in call centres, PhDs regarded overqualified for simple job. Getting a shitty job is depressing enough, we don't need additional load.
So, as an outsider, I will tell you what I know of mgtow: men get their own way, follow your passion not women, no responsibility etc. Anything else? Are there any toxic elements?
Thank you for reading this rant! Hope you're having a great day!
