Its a good idea though research it properly as you dont wanna be paying some executives bonus for rhe year with it. Alotta 'charities' arent what they used to be. Theyre now working machines.

Personally I'm just not worrying about it. When I die I'm gone. Who cares where the money goes afterwards? Legally my next of kin would get it which is my parents/siblings/etc and they can sort it out, and to the extent that I leave behind much money they'll be motivated to do so.

But if you want to leave your money to somebody/something in particular go ahead. Just keep in mind that a piece of paper you write and stick in a drawer somewhere probably won't ever be read by anybody. If you donate all your money to MGTOW Inc or whatever they won't see it if they never get a call to show up and collect it.

If you do have any next of kin and they're not in your will, but they're the ones to discover your will, don't be surprised if your will just disappears either. Sure, they could be honest, but if you thought that highly of them why would you be cutting them out?

I have no idea how such things are typically handled. I'm guessing there are services that will keep an eye out for your estate being probated and then show up to represent you after you're gone. Just expect to pay them for this service - probably some up-front, and some of that coming out of the estate. You might also get the recipient of the money to do some of the work here, since they will ultimately benefit.

I'm in the same position. My money will go partly to my siblings and partly to three different charities. Most of the money is going to the charities. I selected them very carefully.

I'm 58. I am sure I'll change my Will at some point, but that's how it stands now.

I have kids so there is no question as to where my money would go. I have siblings, so they would get a share of my estate. But, if I was single and had no family or dependents, I would give 100% of my money to a reputable charity that creates and maintains shelters and safe spaces for men in need of housing and food. Women have enough resources. When men don't or can't work, they end up on the streets. Homelessness is mostly a male problem. That's where my money would go. Getting men off the streets and giving the men society has written off a second chance.
