Tip: Use Google's free Voice service instead of your cell. You can still call and text from your cell, but they don't get your "real" number and you can individually block girls you don't want contacting you.

i have the app, and i do use it AT TIMES

besides giving it out to chicks i am not sure i want to be with ling term, i am also a building manager, so i use it when i list a vacant apartment, as i will be getting 50-100 people calling a week, so i can just turn it off after that (that way even after the apartment is rented, i can just have a message saying its rented, and dont have to take another 100 calls to tell people that the apartment is no longer available (plus it will transcribe all calls, and even text the transcription to me). so, there are uses for it

but, even when i am at home, with a strong wifi signal, as a conversational phone its lacking, very lacking. there is often a lag-delay, and its not always the best signal.

(thats when using the app on my iphone)

if i use it on my actual computer, with a headset, its slightly better, but not too much better, and it still seems to have a lot of bugs, calls dont always work, and its glitchy.

so, yes, as a phone number, to use not unlike a voice mail, or a call forwarding number, its ok to good.

but its hardly ready for prime time as an ongoing phone number to give out and talk on.

anyway, thats the pluses AND minuses.

Gives you a false number. Unlimited texting. Photos.

Unlimited calling if you receive the call. Limited outward calling but all you gotta do is post FB statuses or watch 1 min videos to get free minutes.
