I'm in a weird place.

My ex fiancee and I broke up 4 months ago, she moved out and I kept the house.

I'm ok with that. I can afford the house.

I took in my uncle (58) who needs help getting his life back together. He will be paying rent to help out thus making the house almost pay for itself.

But I'm not growing in my career and I live in a small and relatively poor city and I'm not sure how to change my situation.

I haven't had a raise in 3 years but I have savings in the bank and good insurance.

As a man I want to go my own way from all of this and maybe find a new job in a new city and let my house be self sustaining. But even if I'm paid a little more I worry the new rent and headaches won't be worth it.

I have no kids. No bad debt or loans (other than mortgage).

What do you men think?

Maybe I'll start a company near the local university and sell things to college students? I just don't know yet.
