I’m curious if any other single & divorced dads have been able to pursue an MBA? I’ve been accepted to a top 15 program but have deferred to next year.
Additionally I am worried about the financials. I’m afraid to take out more student loans as I am already buried so deep (~$60k). I’m thinking a part time program is more realistic in order to be there for my kids, but I still don’t know how to make it work financially. Program tuition is $140k and I can only offset $40k with work/ employer assistance. And I haven’t even taken into account the fewer work hours. I know it’s a long shot, but are there any scholarships or granting organizations that target single dads?
I welcome any other suggestions, I’d like to figure out how to make it work, I think it will help my kids, but honestly I’m a little lost.
