I've been divorced nearly a year -- all decisions of who gets what were made and signed off long ago.

While my ex-husband and I were together, we took numerous vacations, during which I took a lot of photos. When we'd get home, I would post them to my own Picasa (now defunct) account, which was owned by Google. These were generally private albums, but I'd give him access through his Gmail address so he could show his friends and so on. But all of the photos were ones that I took, not him. Nearly all photos were scenery.

My Picasa account was attached to my personal Google account, for which he never had the password and was in no way a "shared" account. Picasa is now defunct. Everything was moved automatically to Google photos. Many of the old links don't work anymore, I guess. Honestly, it's not something I've paid much attention to. The photos should all still be in my Google account, but that's beside the point.

I've had to block my ex's emails, texts, and calls, because he was aggressive and violent during our divorce, as well as afterward; however, he figured out where I'm working now, and he emailed me there:

"It recently came to my attention that I have no longer have access to the many Picassa [sic] web albums that you created for us over the years. Apparently, you changed the password without my consent. I am asking that my access to these albums be restored or that you provide me with a hard copy of all the albums. These are clearly 'marital assets' that we both have a right to and it is inequitable for you to retain sole control and possession thereof."

His access was via his own Gmail account, powered by his own Gmail address; I've never changed his password. The links simply don't work anymore. He's not very tech savvy, so I think that's where the lack of understanding comes from.

I'm sure I could re-establish access and send new links, but is he even entitled to this? He did not create those digital assets - I did. If I sang a song and uploaded it to SoundCloud and shared the link with him, would that make the song partly his?

I don't think he has any right to demand this. Furthermore, emailing me at my work email feels like harassment. Am I right with any of this?
