Need some advice...

I have been married for almost 5 years. My wife and I are in our mid 50s.

When my wife gets upset she goes into a rage. She yells fk you, fker, a**hole. She name calls and mocks me. She will counter everything I say and turns it around and says it back at me. Afterwards she stops speaking for a week. Then she becomes all nice for a couple of months and then another blowup. Last month she escalated into smashing things on the floor (inside the house).

I do not think the marriage can be fixed. As soon as I bring up her behavior she starts blaming me for lack of intimacy and that I am silent. When I tell her that her behavior and words have caused me to back away she gets upset and cannot continue the conversation and walks away.

Any advise is welcome. I already talked to an attorney and I am seeing a counselor.
