I am about to wrap up a lengthy divorce with a settlement agreement and wanted to know what others believe is fair given my situation. I currently provide for all of my Pre-K age children's needs including specialized care/transportation for my special needs son. I take care of making their doc appts and getting them there. I have health insurance for them and take care of the remaining needs as well. I also solely pay for all the current and past medical debts and daycare so I can work fulltime. I also buy extra sets of clothes, shoes, and jackets for her to hold onto so I can make sure my kids will be properly clothed come winter. I am trying to Foster a relationship between my kids and their mother who tends to flake out on the schedule in the past. She will be having them overnight 3 nights a week on the weekends after the agreement is signed at her request. I am currently giving her $150/wk in the form of cash to support the children when in her care at home (pullups, snacks, necessities). At school/daycare I leave extra pullups and snacks for them so the money is strictly for when they overnight with her. In the settlement I am going to request 50/50 physical & legal custody which she has agreed to verbally. She is a low earner by choice at the moment but that is supposed to be improving soon. Regardless I feel like if I leave it up to the child support folks I will end up paying even more simply because she chose not to work and keep her income low. She also collects child support for 2 other children from a previous marriage that are in 4th & 6th grade.

I am not trying to be a jerk here. I feel that $150/wk is plenty of support given our current situation. Anyone have input on what they did or are currently doing? TIA
