Many. Borderline depressed is someone who's not clinically depressed. Your girl probably just said it to reduce her agency. To have an excuse to be shitty, non committal, and to try and guilt trap you if you dump or deny her what she wants. It's bad but if you can put up with it you're good to go (just don't get bonded).
Nearly every woman has a deck in her hand to screw you if she wants to, your friend isn't unlike any, and having fired these warning signs isn't in itself a hint that she WILL screw you. Maybe be watchful for attempts to connect sex with commitment and crap like that.

Borderline personality disorder is a term coined to name a specific sort of psychopathy, really dangerous people. Get the hell away.
I don't think they'd go around identifying themselves though, unless they see benefit in doing so.

Personal experience tells me she may be a professional victim that is using that identity to try and make you feel bad for her/ get extra attention because she likes that kind of attention in an unhealthy kind of way. She may also be using it to paralyze you into not doing anything that is 'selfish' that could hurt her i.e stop talking to/hanging out with her because she's negative.

My advice is if you are going to school or work with her don't get too close, if not then cut it off.
