I have told my wife many times I want a divorce. It never takes. She is good with confrontation. I am not. She always find a way to stop me in my tracks. Using the kids as a weapon. Using guilt. Using my empathy against me. We have been together since 1994. I have decided I'm done no turning back. I want to be happy.
I spoke to an attorney and basically the advice I got was to just tell her. Be reasonable and stick to my guns.
I know she won't be reasonable. There will be drama. Probably throwing my stuff in the yard. Running with our kids to her mother's five hours away. Threats. She will go on 'strike'. Stop keeping up her end of the family responsibilities. We have two kids in school and one plays junior hockey and the other youth. Basically our lives are work and drive the kids to the rink every day.
I would like advice on how to rip off this bandaid and move on with my life so I can finally be happy.
If you have questions feel free to ask them and I'll answer. But how do you get divorced from someone who doesn't want to?
Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Ha! You're an attorney? You people lie constantly. I had four instances of perjury by my STBX lawyer in one hearing and the Court could have cared less.
