I'm at work today and a coworker is talking about her life. She feels she needs more money, wants to do what she wants to do (family/friends/boss stop telling her what to do), and to get the the things she wants (i.e. new car, new house, etc), and for people to stop taking "taking" from her.

She was genuinely upset, almost to tears, i didnt offer advice or options just sat there. In the end I think I said something along the lines of, "I think we all feel like that sometime." Then went back to work.

AWALT? This seems the norm but it also seems dulluisional. Have you guys ever met a woman not like this?

Edit: I guess it just amazes me how many of these women say they want to "make it on their own" but then quickly fold when give the chance to be with a strong man
