People who are making false accusations should end up given same penalty as false accused person would have if proven guilty.

That would be fair,logical, just and will solve this problem.

This reminds me of the case of Sarvjeet Singh Bedi. A Delhi resident who was falsely implicated in a harassment case. What makes his story really sad is that in pursuit of justice, he lost a lot. He lost his job, his reputation, and just his right to life in general, in spite of being acquitted. He was called 'Dilli ka Darinda' by a top reporter of India which means the Pervert of Delhi. I only learnt of the case recently, and I wish I could help him out in whatever way I could.
