Someone sent me this. I just wonder how much of it is true. Some of it seems a bit exaggerated.

It's mostly true but acts as though feminists have been running the world in a vacuum with nobody else working toward justice (even though they claim the patriarchy has been running the world):

1) It ignores the contributions of men's rights activists to men's rights issues.

2) It gives feminism credit for things that were invented by non-feminist women.

3) It gives feminism credit for ideas that were promoted by, and work that was done by, non-feminist organizations, following a thought process that was not rooted in feminist theory.

4) It fails entirely to thank men for their contributions to women's rights and women's issues.

5) It fails entirely to criticize self-proclaimed feminists for actually standing in opposition to many of the things now being credited as feminist successes.

6) It fails to point out that we are really only scratching the surface of solving many of the men's issues brought up and feminists are actively telling MRA's to stop making progress.

For example, men can now technically be considered rape victims in many places, but not everywhere. A victory lap would be very premature.

And nowhere are sex crime laws written and enforced in a way that affords males and females equal protection and equal burden. Hardly any males feel like they can come forward to claim they are victims and be taken as seriously as women. It would be like, instead of granting all women the right to vote, that privilege had been granted to only a handful of women and the rest were told they have lost the right to complain because they might now be lucky enough to vote under specific circumstances, while men enjoy universal suffrage.

\****But the absolute biggest problem with the article is the following******

The article tells men to admire the progress made by feminists, but not to admire or emulate their tactics. They spoke up and didn't care whose feelings it hurt, but you should shut up, listen and empathize. They fought for their rights, but you should check your privilege. They demanded equality and never apologized for who they were, but you should try to change your own human nature for the benefit of others.

I started this list and realised quickly the article was aimed at women who already believe that being female make you superior, and that men only have relevance when their existance impacts women. Each and every one of the claims made are false, or at best, misleading.

It gave our economy a huge, long-lasting boost: no evidence to suggest feminism was responsible for any improvement in the economy.
It helped men achieve better relationships and more satisfying sex: wrong, feminism was only ever concerned with women's sexual satisfaction, and arrogantly assumed that men are easily satisfied by any woman. Divorse rates have skyrocketed, and people are having less sex and less satisfying sex.
It successfully overturned laws that discriminate against men: feminists are aggressively opposed to antidiscrimination laws being used for the benefit of men.
It made life a little easier for single men: climbing suicide rates and emergence if the INCEL and MGTOW memes suggest otherwise.
It expanded the possibility of more sexy time opportunities: men and women enjoyed sex before feminism.
It gave men more reproductive control through abortion legalization: feminism is for women having the only say, and the only valid opinions about abortion.
It triggered the FBI to change the definition of rape to include men.: feminist aggressively opposed this change, and continue to claim that only men can rape.
It gave men some well-deserved time off from work: actually miners unions fought for and gained this work condition. Men continue to work longer hours, experience more workplace related injuries and deaths compared to women.
It helped male survivors of violence in the military pursue justice: so stupid it does warrant response. Feminism only aggitated for women's rights in the military, has shown no iterest in the rights or welbeing of men in uniform, and appears confused, but hostile to trans generally.
It ensured that the burden of war doesn't only fall on male shoulders: as above, really!
It made the struggle for civil rights a reality: claiming the honor due to those who really fought these battles? Sounds like feminism.
It kept prisons safer for male inmates: except all the initiatives advanced by feminists are for women in prison only. Feminist actually want more men in prisons for thought crimes (misogyny) against women.
It enabled men to spend more time with their children: record numbers of men are now alienated from their children.
It expanded the definition of hate crimes to include all identities: all identities except heterosexual men.
It helped shatter stereotypes about HIV/AIDS patients: gay men and good people did this, not feminists. Princes Diana who? Oh, the born rich entitled woman who did a bit of charity work for HIV, and is now some kind of icon?
It ensured that men get the vital reproductive health services: only if male infant genital mutilation is considered a therapy.
It built a more inclusive world, one feminist celebrity at a time: the world has never been more divided by identity, and more exclusive of particular identities.
It protected men's precious marbles during sports: deep into the feminist bubble that believes women invented everything.
It made men's lives better and happier: magical thinking. It's true because "believe all women".
It demanded that the media change its representation of men: the only male stereotype that feminism relates to men is "toxic masculinity". Hate speech is not making the world better for men or anyone.
It fought for men's right to become nurses and teachers: women are more likely to discriminate against men in female dominated professions and workplaces.
It encouraged men to rethink outdated masculinity standards: this isn't about making the world a better place for men, its about making men conform to women's demands.
It pushed for immigration reform to help countless American families: ?????????????

I stopped reading at the first one.

Feminism gave the economy a boost?

Prior to women joining the work force one breadwinner could support a family, own a home, have a car and take vacations. After feminism it now requires 2 breadwinners to make ends meet. Inflation has continued but the rate of pay has stayed the same. The work force doubled practically overnight.

They got the first one wrong. I doubt that they will redeem themselves with the rest.

I don't have time to read all of that but I'll say two things

The jockstrap was not invented by a woman, nor the computer. This is the only sentence I read and cross examined and it proved to be false. I cannot know how much of the rest is false but really I literally focused on one sentence and already found two errors!
If only 30% of that is true it would make me very happy. Sadly my opinion is that feminism brought some good for men too when it was liberating (say in the 60's in the west) and afterwards it started to actively bash men for little benefits to women or even no benefit at all. I like to have sex with free women who enjoy it too and that is a good thing that feminism brought. I don't like to be hated, bashed and feared because I have a sexual desire, which is what feminism became now.

Feminism is made of chaotic humans, who -- like all people -- are self serving and lazy. The outcomes of it can neither be entirely good nor entirely bad, such a feat would require unprecedented levels of control and understanding.

So yeah, ofc some good is going to come out of it. And overall I'm glad that a lot of guys got called out for being true misogynists. But now it's overstayed its welcome and is painting monsters onto decent men just to keep a myth alive.
