I had a (F) stalker last year that was hanging outside of my house, calling & messaging me at all hours in the morning, 'telling all her friends about me', her (M) friends were driving past in cars beeping at me and sticking their fingers up an that, I felt pretty powerless because if it was a guy behaving this way I'd have no hesitation confronting him, couldn't really do this with a woman, the police didn't take it seriously..

It got my quite agitated and alert, but I kind of just had to let it happen until it eventually fizzled out. I think some women know they can push the boundaries further so they can do that and it's allowed because they're female. However if it's a man the consequences for him are more quick an evident so he's less likely to step out of line or even do that in the first place.
