Boys as young as 12 being brought up to feel like they are a piece of shit purely for being born male. Girls being brought up to already think they are victims. Let’s see how this helps the mental health crisis. This is so sad

No one is telling boys they are pieces of “Shit”, they are trying to raise them in a way so that they don't fall victim to toxic masculinity. This causes so many problems, I won't deny that men find it harder to express vulnerability but a lot of that is because of other men. Women have time and time again said they don't mind or even prefer a man who is open about feelings. Girls aren't raised to believe they are victims, but they grow to understand that everything they do will be sexualised and therefore need to be prepared for that eventuality
