Wonder if it would be as funny if they were talking about doing a hysterectomy on a woman like that. Do it without their consent and using rusty tools because she won't get her tubes tied. And why is it only the guy who has to do it? If she doesn't want kids then why doesn't she get her tubes tied?

It's actually really common for women to demand this from their partners. Part of it has to do with control. "If he won't have kids with me, I'll make it so he can't have kids with another woman."

I get that the procedure is overall easier on men. And it sucks that we don't have a male birth control. So if you have kids and are married go ahead and ask if you want. But learn to respect his answer, also. One side effect is feeling like you were kicked in the nuts, and this doesn't go away. It's permanent in like 2% of men.

So what ever happened to my body, my choice?

Male birth control does actually exist and is finishing up testing. You can find some articles about it on google.

Game changing stuff for guys!

There's also a technique that involves holding your testicles to your body which heats them up and kills sperm.

A few devices were experimented with but there wasn't enough support for it because it wasn't patentable.

If she is so worried about it then she can get her tubes tied. If she doesn't then it really isn't something she is worried about and it is time to move on because she is just on a power control thing, which is terrible for a relationship.

getting your tubes tied is not only permanent (while a vasectomy is reversible) but also very hard to get. few doctors agree on doing female sterilisation, reasons being "you might change your mind", "what if you find mr. right and he wants kids", "you must be married, have your husband's approval AND already have 3 kids". there are also more risks associated with it since it's an abdominal surgery. so it's not as easy as it sounds, educate yourself about the actual procedure before speaking.

That is so not true. A woman does not have to be married and have her husbands approval to get her tubes tied and it is reversible. They are tied and thus reversible, not removed or cut, geez. You are repeating old wives tales and medical misinformation. Go to talk with a doctor about this. I come from a medical family with multiple family members who are doctors and I can tell you none of that is true. Women can absolutely have a reversible procedure where they can't have kids and then can reverse it later to have kids.

What is an old wives tale is, freeze your eggs to use them later. That is bullshit. Most eggs do not survive being frozen and then thawed out. They are finding the success rate for that is terrible. The fertility community has been lying to women for years about that. Look at the whitepapers on actual results and efficacy, it is terrible.

Being enthusiastic abt operating your partner with rusty tools and using emojis to convey that excitement is the definition of cringe

This is a joke right?

When will women start holding their friends accountable and call out this disgusting and violent misandry? Toxic femininity!
