This is something that I find strange when it comes to toxic masculinity.

If I am a man and I do something, bad or good, were my motivations due to the fact I am a man. I cant think of a single time I've done something and thought, I'm gonna do this because I'm a man.

The reasons I do anything are individual, and the factors that go into me being an individual are too complex to work out.

If you said someone did something because they were black or Muslim etc you would be destroyed for intolerance.

Most of the people saying dick pics are gross come from two things:

Unsolicited dick pics are gross. So are unsolicited vulva pics. Keyword is unsolicited. If she's asking you for one, it's because she (probably, ofc) genuinely wants it, and thinks it's attractive.
Women typically don't react to imagery as much as men do. We tend to be more visually sexual, where as women tend to imagine a scenario in their head, and the dick pic forms a part of that. This is my opinion, btw, don't take this as fact.

As for how society treats mens bodies... yeah, I agree. It's bullshit. We seem perfectly content commenting on men's bodies being too skinny, too fat, too short, little dick energy, but as soon as someone says a girl is too skinny, too fat, too flat, little poom poom energy, we're seen as the demon. I don't think either is okay, but it's also bullshit how we have this blatant double standard. Every time a girl asks me how tall I am, I tell them it depends on how much they weigh. "You're such an asshole, a girl's weight shouldn't matter!" "Neither should a man's height, and yet you seem perfectly comfortable asking that openly."

Look, my best advice for you, is find someone who listens to you. Not somebody who hears you and wants to come back with a reply because this and that, but someone who listens to what you say. It doesn't mean they have to agree with you, it just means they should listen to the actual content of your words and care about you and what you say. I'm currently with a girl who does that, and I honestly can't see myself separating from her, ever. We don't see eye to eye with everything. For example, gender issues. I talk to her about gender issues and we have those discussions. She originally called herself feminist, but after me, she stopped calling herself a feminist because of many of the issues I saw that came with feminism.

One thing that I want to note here is that I'm not out here trying to change her, I only really talk about these things when we have those discussions or when I sometimes get down about a specific male issue which I won't go into detail here because it's something that's very personal. I'm not changing her, what's happening is that she is listening. She listens to what I say, and she internalizes it, and comes to a conclusion. She doesn't immediately put up her walls and say "bUt WaHmEn". She listens. She thinks. She does research. Sometimes she keeps her opinion, and that's okay. I do the same with her, when she talks to me about issues women face, I listen, I think, I research, I come to a conclusion. Do I always change my mind? No, but sometimes I do. It's that healthy dialogue that allows us to think and understand each other better.

You're probably going through a tough time right now, and I yeah, you probably feel like shit. Take some time, talk to your friends. Talk to your family. Hell, if you want to talk to me, shoot me a DM, I'll respond. But promise yourself one thing: do not ever, ever, let someone manipulate you/push you into doing something you do not want to or are comfortable doing. It's not good for either of you. It might be hard. It might suck in the moment. Honestly, some assholes might make fun of you. But trust me that it is always worth it.
