It is a great accomplishment of red pill women to rediscover the greatness and incredible importance of femininity and beauty. But even I get a little uncomfortable if the whole discussion of women's roles is to look pretty and be nice. There is something else that I feel is a very important part of the natural role of women for a functioning society that has received almost no attention and needs to be developed. That is what I'd call relationship maintenance.

This doesn't just apply to ones own relationship, but the relationships of one's friends and families. Women have a natural fascination with the relationships of the people in their lives that men don't. Men really don't want to get involved in anything to do with their friends' relationships, not in the way women do. Women are drawn in and fascinated by other people's relationships, and can keep track of all the interlocking threads between people, the same way men are drawn to sports and can keep mountains of sports statistics in their heads.

There has been a good deal of discussion to say that women just want drama, and that can either mean getting her friends together if they're apart, or doing what they can do to undermine their relationships when they're together, simply to create drama. There is something to this, but I think the natural fascination women have with other people's relationships is that women have a strong role in the crucial job of maintaining healthy relationships in the "tribe." We see all around us relationships disintegrating, and pulling all of society down with them. How can women today do the crucial job of maintaining and repairing relationships? Probably more than anything else, it is this problem which is hurting society. I think of it as like the immune system of society; society will be overwhelmed by strife and dysfunction if the immune system doesn't make sure relationships are kept healthy.

I think that this is a wide open area for discussion that has received little attention: the role of women in maintaining healthy relationships in a community. Does our atomized society make women retreat to television dramas to get their fix of relationship crack? How can society nurture women's natural propensity to help people's relationships? Is it a women's place to get involved in other people's relationships, or should she mind her own business? What is the role of gossip? Why is it such a cultural universal among women of every society? How does gossip benefit people (if it didn't benefit people in some way it would have died out long ago and not be so universal across cultures).
