Men have to be cautious about reporting. Many people (therapists, doctors, teachers, etc) are legally obligated to tell the police if you mention it.

If you are in a Duluth model area you will get arrested if you report being abused by a female domestic partner.

"I would ask all professionals to undertake an urgent review of their internal policies and procedures to ensure that they are male victim friendly whilst it is vital that councils, the police and crime commissioner and partners in health and housing fund local services to support them as they rightly do female victims. "

In an ideal world, this would be the case. But thanks to decades of feminist-conditioning on society, the professional services who help DV victims (police, social work, medical etc) almost all now think only men can be perps and women can be victims.

It will take a lot of work to convince society that the perp/victim of DV can go either way.

After the Johnny Depp judgement, any man in the UK would have to be insane to contact the authorities with a report about being domestically abused.

I'd be careful though usually in the UK police would still arrest the man even if the woman threw knives at him. This has happened to my mate a few years ago. He eventually divorced her but even now he gets called wife beater even though she started attacking him and he defended himself by kicking her away.

I think very few men start the process but calling the police as soon as a partner assaults them. The majority would try to be physical, but restrained, back at her.

I've they have done that, they are trapped. They can't call the police at that point. The only option is to move out and cut your losses. But that doesn't work if you have kids or have hope for the relationship.
